Evgenia Arbugaeva is a freelance photographer from Russia. She was born in the Siberian town Tiksi but moved to another city at the age of 8. Evgenia graduated from the International Center of Photography Photojournalism and Documentary Program in 2009. She now works as a freelance photographer in both Russia and the USA (New York).

Evgenia made a photographic serie about Tiksi. In the days of the Soviet Union, Tiksi was an important military and scientific base. But after the fall of the USSR Evgenia's family and many others left for a bigger city. Nowadays the town is pretty much abandoned.
