During a journey to Rajasthan (India) in 2008, artist
Karen Knorr focussed on the upper caste culture of the Rajput and its relationship to the other. The photographic serie which came from it, 'India Song', considers men's space and women's space in Mughal and Rajput palaces, havelis and mausoleums.
Knorr photographed the interiors and animals seperately and later combined them into one image.
